Solving Word Problems

Tuesday, March 4 | 1–2:00 PM CT

In the first webinar of the series, participants learn how to effectively use the problem-solving strategies found in Bluebonnet Learning K–5 Math and engage all learners in the knowledge-building process of visualizing and drawing to make sense of word problems on the STAAR test.

Building Conceptual Understanding with Models

Tuesday, March 18 | 1–2:00 PM CT

A knowledge-building classroom is a space where students are given the opportunity to learn, think, and articulate what they're learning. In part two of the webinar series, participants explore how the consistent and coherent use of mathematical models throughout Bluebonnet Learning K–5 Math support all learners in building a conceptual understanding of math to make sense of and solve problems found on the STAAR math test.

Using Concrete-Representational-Abstract (CRA) Progression

Tuesday, March 25 | 1–2:00 PM CT

The final webinar of the series explores ways to scaffold instruction using the CRA progression to support all learners in mastering the math concepts that will be included on the STAAR test.
